My Boss

For months now, my friend Tamara has been asking if Wally has an imaginary friend. Last night at dinner, we talked about how we both find it interesting that he doesn't because most only children his age have them.

This afternoon, I realized I have been wrong, for months. Wally has had an imaginary friend for quite a while. I didn't notice it because his friend doesn't have a name. Wally simply calls him "My boss."

He has been talking about his boss and telling stories of the things his boss says and does. They work at a hangar where they fix airplanes, cars and trains. They eat ice cream and play games at work. Everyday we hear stories about his boss.
